yesterday I was reading this thread:
http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?127336-So-many-cycling-threads

and there I was wondering why won't team the most cyclers up with others? I'm not judging you but I was genuinely wondering why....I mean people cycle to give people their dreamies, right? So why not let people help you accomplish that goal?
I understand that threads with more than 4/5 people can get confusing so declining people if you already have some "helpers" I can understand.

I don't cycle myself (I tried for a short period but I gave up quickly and I'm not going to start again so maybe I just don't see some logical reasons about not wanting to team up with eachother so please tell me)

I hate working with other people on things that I can work independently on.

Also, I hated how that person said 'selfish people' when they were declined on a request to work with them. It's not selfish to want to work alone, and it's not selfish to decline when you have enough workers at the time.

Well people always have the right to decline and I think people should accept and respect that as well but is it really working with other people? I mean I assume everyone cycles for themself but just in one thread, maybe I'm just thinking too simple :p

So, I'll chime in here. I was actually part of a cycling thread that had a lot of people on it. I can't speak for why someone else would decline, but I can say from experience, it got confusing fast. People would post, I am giving so and so away, and then other people would post about another villager a few spaces back, and some would just post to chat. So, a lot of times, villagers would get missed, or just get lost in all the noise. It sometimes helps to have one, maybe two people controlling the traffic, as it were.

I know some people on tbt have more then 2 cyclers per thread, but even those threads, I noticed people are different time zones, so at best they have 1 or 2 active.

It would be cool if more people teamed up, but that would just cause another problem, which is confusion. It apparently already happens in the cycling threads with a lot of people and if more people are added to the thread, it will just create chaos.

As an owner of a thread with two other people, it can get hectic for me personally, because I'm the only one that can edit the title of the thread, and sometimes I refresh too late and my co-cyclers have had a villager in boxes for 5 minutes and the title still says IN BOXES: N/A. I don't want to spend my entire night refreshing my thread so I can edit the thread title on time, so that's why I believe most people either don't want to team up with someone, or want to limit the amount of people they let join. More than three to a thread can get confusing and stressful.

(Then again, a fix for that would be to leave the title as CHECK THREAD whenever I'm not paying attention, but that can throw people off a lot and good villagers get voided because of it. Bluh bluh.)

I personally started out cycling alone, then with a group, and then alone again. I personally liked updating everything myself vs. having someone else update for me. ALSO - with the group I was in, it wasn't very consistant. 1 person would be cycling all day, getting 10-15 Villagers out a day vs. someone only cycling every now and then, only getting 2-3 Villagers out a day.

I think most of the groups that are established want to know who they're working alongside with, for instance if they're reliable or how they cycle AND how many Villagers they can get out in a day. I would personally want to cycle alongside someone who can get as many Villagers out as I could and of course be able to work around the same rules/restrictions.

I wouldn't want to follow a group of 10 cyclers and notice 5 of them keeping their dreamies OR selling them off. The other 3 cyclers giving them away in raffles and the remaining 2 are doing first come first serve. I don't think it'd be appealing to the other members and I think it'd be harder to keep track vs. a group of 5 that are stable, follow/go by consistent rules AND are actively cycling. And like I've said numerous times, many members that are "cycling" only do it until their "dream town" is complete OR until they're bored of it. I wouldn't want someone to join up with me and end up quitting/leaving in a week.

TLDR; Understand people want to work with consistant people and not n00bs. Everyone has different rules/regulations.
