Okay, so here goes:
I'm planning on creating a town with a specific purpose in mind, but in order to complete and do that, I need to have some way to give directions/instructions on how to enjoy what I set up/communicate with people who visit the town (via WiFi or Dream Suite).
I thought I could drop one of those musical note things on the ground with instructions, but I experimented and found that once I wrote on it, it was put with my letters and couldn't be dropped to the ground.
Similarly, once stationary in the game is written on, it becomes a letter and can't be dropped, either.
The directions will require more words than what will fit on a pattern (think about two sentences worth for each set of instructions).
Is there anything I've missed in my experimental methods (with the musical stationary and regular stationary), or a way to communicate to others?
Right now, in order to do what I want to do, I'll either need a lot of characters and patterns, or post the instructions somewhere online (perhaps start a thread and link it in my signature in case the thread gets lost).
I'd much rather be able to communicate in the game, itself. Does anyone know of a good way to do so (besides trying to get it written across a couple patterns)?
