A Little Confused Guys about Amiibo...

Hey guys. I'm old, I need some help with all this lol. I understand there are new cards coming out in December with new villagers. My question is, with this update can we buy cards to invite old villagers in? Like, can I go buy a Diana amiibo card and talk to her and have her move in? Is it that easy? Do I need any other hardware besides my DSXL to do this? Help!!

Thanks so much! So they come in packs. Great lol. And yes I do have the new 3DSXL.
 
Diana is already for sale, and you can probably go get her card on eBay right now!
 
Especially when you're from England and the only card available is from the USA & It's ?18 to ship :'(

That's crazy!!!

There are offers on eBay I've seen prices from starting from ?2.50 a card but you can chose which one you'd like. Personally I'd rather buy amiibo figures than the cards as they can be played by my kids and also can be used in our Wii U console. :-)

the cards also work on the Wii U console. They're multi talented lol.

Definitely check out the post office to see if people are trading if you do end up buying packs, the trading is about to blow up again with people buying the cards again, I am going to buy series 4 soon and then do a big giveaway so keep your eyes peeled!
 
wait, is it possible to use amiibo cards to move in villagers, or do you need wisp??
 
Feel like im still confused. Besides online where can we buy these cards? Were they originally just for HHD? Ahhh why don't I understand things lol

Most stores that sell amiibo sell the cards. GameStop, Best Buy, Target, Wal-mart, etc. Of course this is going to vary by location, my wal-mart rarely restocks their amiibo at all while target usually only has a few cards while my gamestop has a bunch. There's 4 series of cards so series 1 & 2 cards might be a littler harder to find in a store; usually the better option is to order packs online (amazon sells them too).

iirc europe kind of gets the short end of the stick, their packs are 3 to a pack while the US' is 6.

Cards can be used for HHD, Amiibo Festival (wii u), the new leaf update, and some misc features here and there (some cards unlock costumes in mario maker, for example).
