Well, it appears just putting the world "Marshall" in a heading makes it popular to begin with. I got a lot of mixed results of people that had Marshall and didn't like him, or people just saying "People like what they want." Well I agree my hypothesis was that people that wanted Marshall, would also want the "more popular" villagers. Well I got a lot of mixed results to be honest, people have a lot of different tastes so, that's it.

-Thanks

Your point being...?

Literally all I got from that was "People have different opinions on different villagers".

I don't really agree with you. I like Marshal because he is an adorable little squirrel, not because he is popular. The other villagers in my town right now are Blaire, Cheri, Filbert, Butch, Goldie, Walker, Maple, Poncho, and Friga, and the only ones that are sort of popular are Maple and Filbert. So no, people don't just want popular villagers because they are popular. Popular villagers are popular because they have many characteristics that appeal to the majority of animal crossing players. (I think that is what you were saying but I'm not too sure.)

I have a question for you. It's not meant to be rude.
Why do you care? Why do people keep making these threads? Why does it matter why someone likes a villager or not? If everyone cared about every villager's popularity like they seem to care about Marshal's, then the entire website would be full of these ridiculous threads.
In conclusion, my question: Why do people keep beating a dead squirrel?

it mightve been more fruitful if you had just posted this in your other thread instead of making a new one.

Personally I just kinda wanted to know what other people were into.

I understand. Still, you can easily tell that by the literally dozens upon dozens of threads already covering this. All the answers are the same. Is there something new that you really expect to hear? I'm honestly not trying to be rude, but your new thread doesn't seem to be anything new at all and just covers the same ground with the same answers as all the others.
