Yeah duplicate gifts happened to at least two of my villagers and I believed it happened because I tend to tt back and forth but idk if that's actually the reason

I thought I was the only one having this issue as well! This has happened to me twice with Raymond. I gave him ONE pair of glasses and when I went into his house he had THREE!! So I tried gifting him the water cooler he had before 'cause I didn't want his house to be messed up! And thanfully that worked and replaced one of the glasses.

But then I gifted him ONE star net, and now I have the same problem all over again!

It also happened with Apollo, where I have him a white rose but there were two in his house. And Flurry as well where I gave her one star net, and there are two in her house. So I don't understand why Raymond has triple??

Same thing happened to me today except it wasn’t clothing. I gifted Zell an antique clock, TT’d backwards so I could get some island chores done and noticed he now had 2 antique clocks in his house @w@ ..They look nice tho but I’ll probably gift him some more furniture to avoid duplicates

I just noticed that my villagers have started displaying multiples of the clothing I gave them, even though I only gifted them one! The swapped closet clothing is something I made a thread about before because I noticed that Judy had Marshal's clothes and vice versa. It feels like we discover a new glitch every day lol.

I had this happen to Raymond, Apollo, Wolfgang, and Buck! It thought I was I’m the only one who had this glitch because not a lot of people were bringing it up.
