500,000 to Boondox NO FEATHER!

I donated 500,000 bells to Boondox and all I got was a thank you. No feather, nothing!

What is going on?! Have I wasted 500,000 bells for nothing?

EDIT: I just found out, the bells I donate keeps adding up. Basically I donated too much and passed my change on getting the Yellow Feather. Is there still a way to get the yellow feather? As long as it doesn't mean I need a second copy.

You can earn it if you restart your town, but you'll need a second copy if you want to earn it without restarting.

You should be able to just use a second character. I've never tried this but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

That's one BIG flaw with this game!
