So there's a new glitch where you can actually get up on the 4th clifftop and put plants and decorate up there! This is the first glitch that has ever tempted me D: However, I still won't do it because if Nintendo patches the glitch, all the stuff up there would just be stuck right? But it sucks cuz I've been wanting to add some cliffs on the 3rd layer just for background but it looks ugly plain. I wanted to put trees and stuff up there :(

I won't include the instructions on how to do it since I'm not sure if that's allowed. However, you can search it yourself probably, if you guys are interested. :)

Oh I've seen this glitch! I don't know too much about it but it does look really cool! I think it hurts the game data though but not sure

I mentioned it in a thread that discussed this last week, but I don't think it's worth doing this glitch. If Nintendo patches this and makes it impossible to get back up there, you could potentially get furniture stuck up there. And if the furniture is stuck up there, you won't be able to terraform the cliff away.

If Nintendo was done supporting the game, that'd be one thing. But they're planning to keep supporting the game for a while, so things can change at any time. I mean, we're even seeing Nintendo do things like rebalancing bug spawn rates, something they've never bothered doing before.

Yeah exactly, which is why I'll be avoiding this glitch. I really hope nintendo actually allows us to get up to the 4th layer legitimately one day. Maybe limit it like how the glitch works, where you can't terraform up there, but you can place objects there. Just to add a back drop, as though there were mountains. Would be so nice

The bug spawn rate and monthly interest changes were things no one really expected I think so if Nintendo really does fix this glitch, I agree that there could be unexpected problems :/

I've heard it can sometimes corrupt your save data because the game doesn't know how to handle the data due to the items being up there where they aren't suppose to be.

next nintendo update: a craftable deku leaf to get you to that 4th level 😜

An elegant solution would be for Nintendo to auto remove any items on the top layer instead of just leaving glitched towns.

I feel like this is one of the glitches that I'd be the most scared of trying. To me going to an area that you shouldn't be able to go to and putting things where you shouldn't be able to put them just seems like it could cause issues.

Unlike the other glitches and exploits, this one is very tempting just for the design possibilities, but like @Mello said it sounds like a corrupt save kind of situation in the future, so I'd be too scared to try it. At the very least, I wish we could have built waterfalls up to the 4th level. It's kind of silly and nonsensical that we can't do anything with them. The difference in height between each level isn't very high so this would help with better depth perception in our island designs. :(
