3DS Question

I was playing ACNL this morning fine, but I tried to play again ten minutes ago and my 3DS won't turn on. Plugged it in and it still won't turn on. Pressing the power button doesn't have any affect.

I've had it since it's release date, so I guess it's as old as it could possibly be.. Has it died completely? Should I try taking out the battery and putting it back in? If I do this, will it have a TT effect on ACNL?

Taking the battery out shouldn't have a TT effect on AC, and if the system setting or the game time seems different when you're talking to Isabelle at the first screen then you can always change it back before you load up the game.
Try (with the battery in) holding down the power button firmly for a good six seconds, wait ten seconds and then try turning it on. It might just needs a hard reboot.
