I was going into my ACNL account when all of a sudden only the A button was working. Nothing else works but the A and B buttons. help please!

Have you dropped your 3DS or done anything differently with it? I mean chances are you'll need to send it in to get fixed regardless, but who knows.

The falls could have knocked something lose, which only recently broke off completely; causing the failure. As Tom said earlier, you will have to send it away for repairs; nothing you can do about this problem yourself anyway.

Try this if nothing avails: Press the buttons down for a long period of time. If you're impatient, press the buttons down really hard for a short time. My circle pad was acting strange, but then I tried pushing it down and it started working more accurately. I only recommend this if there's no other way.

Small improvement. Cartridge games are working, but I cant move around the home menu at all. The only button working in digital and the home menu is A. Other than that nothing. I guess I have to go full physical if thats how its gonna be...

The touch screen doesnt work at all, only small glitches that lead to the notifications.

There should be a way for you to send your system in for repairs. Nintendo's gotta have support for your area if they're selling the 3DS there.

I had this problem once, and I never dropped or damaged it. Nintendo fixed it free of charge though.

All the places here that sell the 3DS most likely don't buy their stock directly from Nintendo. From what I know, they buy old stock from chain stores in the US. The only 'Nintendo Stuff' here, is a Nintendo Zone in some hotel which is in a tourist destination.

Did you have it on warranty?

I had small improvements. I could access games if I fiddled with it enough. Once I got into the game it worked fine for a while then after about an hour it started glitching again. The home menu still doesn't want to co-operate with me and keeps going to the notifications thing. I cannot access best friend chat and whenever I click it, it takes me to my TPC (ACNL BTW). When I got my way into System Settings (finally), I tried to calibrate the touch screen, and the upper right hand side of the screen wouldn't work in the calibration. All the others worked. I'm beginning to think it's a touchscreen problem.

Yup, it's a touchscreen problem. Sensors over here are responding somewhere else. By that, I mean the BF chat click is activating the TPC. The problem is probably the bottom "half" of the 3DS. Maybe try calling someone in your family to fix it? They might have to take it apart. Don't worry, I saw another thread like this. Someone dropped a computer and they took it apart and fixed it. Guessed what? It worked.

The inside of a computer is actually quite simple. I could quite easily fix something similar to this in a computer, but I wouldn't know where to begin trying to fix OP's problem.

Anyway, OP, I would imagine that getting it fixed would be quite cheap if you can find someway to send it off to nintendo (seems like that is a problem for you), but if you can't, is there not a technology shop somewhere near you that fixes stuff like this?

There should be a way you can still send it to nintendo for repairs. Maybe you could try contacting their support to see if there's anyway you can send it to them for repairs?
