There's a crack along the right hinge of my XL. I'll put up pictures when I get home, but I'm wondering what I should do. I have a warranty, but I know that you can't get a new one unless it isn't working, which it works perfectly. I'm kinda scared to try to glue it, but I might have to. It's not completely falling apart, but it might soon. :( All the support it has right now is tape.

If it gets annoying just smash it and say this kid walked into you while you were holding it and made you drop it, although, they apologised.

GEE.NEE.US. AGAIN.

What is with the all 3ds breaking all of a sudden?

I'm actually fearing this trend. The last trend I'm aware of was the 3DS not coming on or stuck at the home screen with no buttons working. One week later it happened to me...

Now that I think about it, the right side of my touchscreen is cracking...

Can you send it in for repairs? I believe Nintendo actually has a place you can send it to get it fixed (Not sure where, you'd have to go to their website to find out).

Here's the pics:

There's also a few breaks on the back of it as well, so it goes completely around the hinge.

I'll try to find it.

Oh, hey. That's what happened right before my 3DS top screen detatched (Not trying to scare you.).

Gunna' suggest getting a case, and being a little more gentle with opening/closing it.

They do, and its costs $55 iirc.

Looking at that leaves me thinking your 3DS might be unfixable, damage like that and Nintendo's more likely to set you up with a replacement 3DS of either the standard XL colors or possibly one of the other special editions they have left over for repairs.

The DSi was (and still is) more durable than the 3DS. Mines isn't breaking, but the hinges on my 3DS are loosening up :'(

My problem is with the charging plug - my 3ds wont charge unless it is at the right angle

I have a friend with that problem. If it's the normal 3DS, he fixed it by just using the charging cradle that came with it. If it's an XL, then I have no ideas.

I've heard that XL are not as 'strong' as the normal size Ds. Looking at the quality it is made of doesn't surprise me :/
Good luck fixing that! :0
