One thing I really like to do to make creative weird sounding names is look up simple names in other languages, omniglot is a good site for this. Looking up something simple in English can sounds really interesting in other languages. A few names I've come up from this method are Pazaour (Claws), Lluvia (rain), and Arryire (Autumn). I usually just look until I find one that when I say it out loud sounds really cool. =]
