Has anyone heard about the 2012 movie coming out? I watched some previews and I'm not sure if I wanna watch it. It looks cool, but also tells of your near future. Does anyone think that the world will end in 2012?
I don't really care.
The movie doesn't tell us "our future" just another movie Hollywood made to make a ton of money, being that they know people are going to want to watch it.
The whole 2012 is bull crap.
2012 is a whole load of bull *censored.2.0*.
The Mayans made a calendar, and they assumed there people wouldn't survuve 'til 2012, so they stopped there. It's just a coincidence that it coincides with a strange astronomical phenomenon. Then people say, "OMGzz NosTraDamuss predicted it tooo!!11!11!1!"
Yeah, he predicted the world would end in 3797, therefore your theory of the dates matching up just proves your opinion more irrelevant.

Well '2012' might happen in near time if we dont stop global warming. If the ice caps melt we will have mass floods, hurricanes, and tsunamis, and ice cold climate, just like the ice age.

And I think that maybe the Mayans were like "Hey, I think that we have enough planned out for the future, maybe we will keep on putting dates and years in about 10 or 20 years."
And in those ten or twenty years, they disappeared.
The movie looks good just because I like the sort of "natural-disaster" type stuff.
However, you asked the right question using "will". No, I don't think the world end in 2012. But it very well could. I still have a life ahead of me and I don't intend on letting an old man's prophecy combined with other random links scare me.
I don't want to see the movie, and I don't believe in 2012.
In the Bible Jesus said the world would not end until this generation passes away. "This generation" according to the Jewish calendar ends in 2012. Dunno, I just found that fascinating.
