2 new villagers

So I just got animal crossing today, I have 5 villagers. I got Lopez my dreamie for free today and I'm trying to get Nana also. If I talk to them both today (I've already talked to Lopez) could they both move in?

No, You need to wait until they reserve a plot of land before you can get another to move in.

No, you will lose one of them based off of stories I've heard (which says the latter will replace the former's spot). Since you're not at full capacity, I would suggest you TT 2 days ahead (when Lopez's house is actually on the map) before you invite another villager.

Yep, what Cynber said. For example:

1. Talk to Lopez.
2. Talk to Nana.
3. Nana will move in.

The second one you talk to is the one who moves in, it doesn't matter the date of the move-in.
