Yup! I've only been playing for a few days and I've only gotten to that point of having the 5 villagers in my island (like the 2 original + 3 starters) c:
Would that be far enough in the game to adopt animals from other islands? :0

As long as you're able to go to Tom Nook and ask to put a plot down. Then I think you should be able to adopt villagers from other people

Oh! I searched and I think I need Residential Services first so I can adopt more villagers asides from the first 5 if that's the case, i dont think I can be adopting villagers from other islands yet
