This is the story of me and my Wolf.
I played the GameCube Animal Crossinga long long time ago... 10ish years ago... I loved playing it, and most of all, I loved my cranky wolf neighbor! He was my favorite. But one day, because of my own young mistake... he was gone
I made that same awful TT mistake, so many of us make. I tried so hard to bring him home, but I never could do it... He was gone.
10ish years later, I decide to pick up New Leaf, and first thing on my to-do list is find my wolf. I told myself to be patient... I didn't need to rush and buy him, or reset a million times. I knew we'd find each other. I'd waited 10 years for him to find his way back to me... I could be patient till he came again!
It had actually been so long, I'd forgotten his name. So I looked it up, and by looks, I assumed it was Fang. He looked right. A cranky gray wolf. But I just... wasn't sure. There was something different about Fang. I couldn't figure out what seemed wrong. His catchphrase? His clothes? His furniture? Those are all changeable... so I just chalked up the questions in the back of my mind to 10 years of graphics development.
Flash-forward to today... I run a rescue town for villagers who are about to be voided, in part to honor the memory of my wolf. A Lobo in need of a home entered my town. I knew he was a cranky wolf, so I figured he'd remind me of my old friend.
But he reminded me... a LOT of my old friend. I realized his appearance seemed... familiar...?
His catchphrase...?
His clothes...?
Could I have been wrong...? Maybe my wolf had a different name...?
And to clench my suspicions... I knew his furniture before I ever checked! All my rusty memories came back, and I realized I'd been waiting for the wrong name to show up on the signpost!
After all this time, we'd found each by accident! It was MY wolf!
