Updated for Winter: Knocked down the northern part of my river and added an outdoor haunted house!

My island's theme is fairly spooky/horror and parts of the decorations strongly imply that Diana's been murdered. The other residents mostly live in fear/lockdown except for Audie and Bam who lift weights on the beach surrounded by skulls and zoom around the graveyard lol

I don’t think you have to do one or the other! My island has a large, dense forest that leads into a neighborhood where one part is a city-like alley/dead end. It actually seems to pull everything together nicely and gives me variation so I can enjoy whichever scenery I like!

I hide tarantula models in my forest and flower beds (the color blends in with orange pansies), scorpions on the beach creeping behind barrels/pirate areas, butterflies floating like lost spirits around my cemetery, and then a big ol Goliath beetle right on the shore staring out into the ocean

Our pool of furniture is fairly limited right now compared to others in the series. On top of that, if your island is spooky themed like mine, we’ve been eager for this update so we can have more options to create “darker” areas other than the go-to upbeat fairy/cottagecore themes. Other than...
