If digital art is something you wish to continue, you should definitely invest in a drawing tablet. I use a wacom bamboo tablet and I really enjoy it :) Also, while drawing try to use references. Practice drawing from real life and soon enough you won't need them! There are lot's of resources...

I use photoshop and sai, both are great to draw with but I find that sai feels more natural and user friendly. You can also make tons of different brushes to suit your needs in sai, so recently I've been using it more.

Yep! Your tablet will work with pretty much anything, it's really just controlling the mouse with a pen, so you could use it to browse the internet if you wished.
