This is so true! I am currently thinking of redoing my town as I am not happy with parts of it anymore and I always struggle to make the decision to demolish something.

I have never played the games that came before New Leaf, so I am not as attached to the missing villagers. I could only imagine Nintendo adding more old and maybe new villagers, if the cards will be usable in future animal crossing games. I doubt they'll do another update for New Leaf.
I kind of like the update more than I thought I would :blush: It felt a bit overwhelming at first, but I'm finally getting the hang of the daily challenges.

Unfortunately no. You have to collect them the "traditional" way and the double / triple cards can be traded with other people. I believe there is a thread somewhere here on the forums where you can trade cards.
That is awful! Maybe you need a few days to digest and then you are ready for a new game of ACNL. I also like the idea of a tribute town. Let us knw if you need any help with a new town!
Thank you HHoney for your answer :-) I have to admit that I only just recently started using the game clock and taking notes of where I left off in the game. I absolutely agree with you that there is no rush to finish anything and I definitely enjoy it much more when I play at a slower pace.
