sorry this is long! I usually ignore messy areas until I want to decorate them, then make a to-do list! For example, if my beach is full of flowers (which it is rn ;u; ) I'll add that to the to-do list. Depending on how much it stresses me out, I'll prioritize getting rid of the flowers, then...

June and July is the rainy season in Japan! I think the NH weather patterns (and seasonal shrub blooms) are designed to mimic Japan's seasons, especially in Northern-hemisphere islands. If it's anything like real life, it'll be rainy until around August.

I tend to get stuck in a trap of comparing my island to others' and it makes me feel discouraged, but taking some time away from looking at other people's islands can really help. Nothing on your island has to be permanent, either; mine is constantly changing as I tweak it to suit what I think...
