I think they're getting more mileage out of Pocket Camp than they thought they would, and they adjusted New Horizons features (left things out) to make sure that New Horizons wouldn't give devoted fans of Pocket Camp enough good reasons to jump ship.

Does anyone know if you can still mail gift-wrapped fruit to your villagers and get non-native fruit in return? I think this worked in New Leaf, but I haven't tried it in New Horizons.

Pretty much the classic Animal Crossing style. Cute, country, rustic, relaxing. Charming. Wooden bridges, dirt paths, trees. Some of the old school players prefer that to the more contemporary landscaping options available in New Leaf and New Horizons.
