No, not always. For example, i am playing gen 8 right now and i am having a hard time allowing my little cubchoo to evolve because it just looks too cute in its current form. Also, i have a shiny geodude that i have prevented from evolving several times now, but i guess i might let it eventually.

Oh, wow!! I totally did no expect gen 9 to be announced so soon, but i am so excited nonetheless. I Like the designs of the new staters, but the look of the new trainers is..... They look different from how the characters have looked so far, is what i mean.

I dont need it, but it looks nice. The only way i am considering an upgrade is if they made a pro switch lite or something. I dont play on tv so docked is useless to me, and even though this one will have a bigges screen which makes it an upgrade, it would probably be as heavy as the original...

Very important since the biggest portion of the games i like consists of life sims, i just cannot play those kinds of games with no character customization. I am ok with having the looks of the main character already determined in some games where it might be hard to do, like visual novels.

Lolly would work since her color is somewhat similar to his, but personality wise i think a peppy cat would be a better fit, maybe Rosie.
