I generally play in 3D, but if I'm on a bug hunt on the island - which takes me around an hour - then I'll switch to 2D.

Just a few quick questions about bug-hunting on the island...1) Is there an ideal time to do it, or just any time after dark? 2) Should I only go for the big beetles? Is it worth catching fruit beetles, moths, wharf roaches etc? 3) Any other tips?

Almost 118 hrs in 19 days? :o wow. Good value for money then? ;) This is already my most played 3DS game and I didn't even pay for it! (got it in the "so many games" promotion)

You can find this in your 3DS activity log. So far I have played for almost 16 hrs (15:57), with an average gaming session of 36 mins. Have had the game for almost 2 weeks.

Why's it always friggin raining in my town? :( Have had the game nearly 2 weeks, and apart from a few sunny days at the start it's rained almost every day since. Yesterday I got to go to the Island for the first time so I'll actually get to see some sun now!

Thanks for all of your money-making tips guys! Also, is it worth having the "wealthy town" ordinance in place? Does it make much of a difference to how much you can earn? I currently have the "night owl" ordinance.

How are you affording to build something every day? I've only started on one thing - a new bridge - but cos of the cost it's taking me ages to get the 120,000 bells needed :( the fact that the local residents hardly contribute anything doesn't help.
