I love the patchwork set, especially the armchair since there really wasn’t an actual armchair in the game until then. Its nice to have one right next to a fireplace for my villagers to snuggle in on a cold day.

Yes, I know for NH players, we still have the Maypole item to expect during Midsummer. It is actually a very pretty item, and available to TTers right now (not timelocked).

At first, I enjoyed nicknames, but as OP mentioned, it gets awkward when a villager-specific nickname catches on with others. In the end, I ultimately told villagers to just use my own name. It is just simpler and less jarring while playing.

As others mentioned, lag seems to occur when there are a lot of moving objects, villagers, or events going on, even if an island isn’t maxcore decorated. My issue is that this should have been a priority fix for awhile now, and I was surprised it wasn’t fixed in 2.0, when even more...

When I started HHP, I noticed that I did see at least one 2.0 villager and one previous or current resident of my island on the beach. I have no idea if this was really good RNG, or if the algorithm prioritized these, but it was great to see both new and familiar faces for the first week of play.
