I believe ACNH is working on updating for the 2.0 items. Edit to add. I checked their discord they have no Eta for the 2.0 update but they are working on it.

Yes I turned them on. As you said I enjoy having something to read on the loading screen.

Has anyone actually had new items in Nooks Cranny from the update? I have gone two weeks ahead before my session and I have found four new items.
