My favourite villager currently on the island has to be Cole. He's always so sweet (as are most lazy villagers), and I love his overall design. I like that he's a black rabbit, it's a simple design that I think works very well.
Well ... I wanted to be a nun.
It started when I was around 5 (according to my mother) and lasted until my second year of university.
When I was younger I did drawings of myself living at the convent and being a nun, kept begging my mother to let me get baptised (my family are not Catholic...
You can, but I find going to Photopia to dress them up a faff when I can just trial and error it through gifts.
My thought process went:
I wonder what Rocket would look like without the helmet.
Puck's hat came off when I gave him a ribbon.
I have a beret.
Rocket would look nice in a beret...
I love these sort of threads, seeing how similar/different we all are.
My favourites for most species change a fair bit, but as of 17/12/21 they are:
Alligator: Roswell / Gayle tie.
Anteater: Pango
Bear: Chow. 💖
Bird: Admiral. 💖
Bull: Stu.
Cat: Stinky. 💖
Chicken: Ava.
Cow: Norma.
Cub: Chester...
Chow.
He's not on my current island (boo), and I'm not sure if I should actively look to get him again as I don't like to keep villagers after getting their photo, BUT if he were to camp on Harebells I would quite happily take him regardless of who he'd be kicking out.
Why do I like Chow...
The Harebells rep has my real name and is somewhat similar to how I think I'd look in Animal Crossing. The only time my appearance really changes is when I let one of the villagers trick me for Halloween, then I'll keep that look all year round.
Honestly the in-game paths look better (to me). I like the simplicity of it and while I would prefer a greater degree of flexibility in terms of placement I'm not willing to dedicate 10+ custom design slots to give me that flexibility.
Plus if I'm remembering my pre-reset island correctly it...
I quite liked it, but I don't really spend much time in the house so visitors are still a bit of a novelty.
That said I did on my first visit I ended up deliberately ignoring Paolo because I was busy in one of the side rooms. Thought he'd just come in anyway, but he ended up walking away after...
II clocked up 105 hours in November, nearly all of which was spent in HHP. That's just 3 hours less than the previous 10 months of Animal Crossing hours combined! Slowed down a lot now, mostly go to chill on the beach and upgrading existing homes.
It didn't feel like I was rushing at the time...
I wanted to see what Rocket looked like beneath the helmet, now she's wearing a beret on top of it. Should have looked it up before impulsively giving her the gift of clothing.
I know they have set gender, and I know the dialogue uses gendered terms, but it's never really been something I've paid much attention to. Certainly not to the point of making sure I have a certain balance in game.
By luck I have 6 male and 4 female villagers at the moment, but I don't...
I am far more selective on HHP than my main island.
They're either villagers I really like aesthetically, or ones I don't mind condemning to a life of 24/7 work when all they wanted was a vacation home.
I had hoped we'd get the option in thr Able Sisters to keep trying clothes on after purchasing the first outfit. Just a little "would you like to keep shopping?" message rather than kicking me out to start all over again. A tweak allowing you to see storage and pocket space would have been...
