For a super-general opinion, I like the XP share, but having options is always good. But past that... The older XP share was probably my favorite- it replaces the held item so that it gets more XP, and it has to leech from whoever does the battling. It was a good balance system, and it worked...

I was doing a gen 3 living dex for the longest time... Got all of the Hoenn naturals, traded in a bunch from Colosseum, Fire Red, Leaf Green, the works. One day, I decided to deposit it all into Pokemon Box, organize it by National Dex... and the Box save data corrupted. Never going through that...
