Ok that makes sense, but Im still having issues with camper/amiibo villagers. Ill try it again to make sure I really bug them about it but every time they say my Island is too full :(

I'm super new to all of this so hopefully I'm doing it right! My island has 10 villagers (max capacity) but whenever I talk to a camper/amiibo/other-island resident they wont negotiate to replace someone? I know I'm max capacity, I have crafted all requested items, and I have spoken to them...
