When you post, you earn really really tiny amounts of TBT - like 0.9 TBT bells depending on probably how long your post was or maybe how frequently you have posted. It's really hard to earn TBT this way so normally people sell stuff. You could probably look at the FAQ or click on the blank spot next to the number of TBT you see when you click on the "Currency" tab on the bar under the Bell Tree Forums banner.
