The power and influence the animal crossing community has is insane

Animal Crossing has had a pretty healthy mod scene since Wild World. Last time I played NL I modded it pretty heavily just to keep myself entertained. I dunno where this whole 'people are starting to mod the game in cool, new ways cuz Nintendo has abandoned' thing came from. I mean, I saw...

Far too late to start getting into AC:NH?

Oh, it's still very much worth it. Thankfully, AC has never relied too hard on communities or player bases like, say, MMOs do. Even still, there's plenty enough of a community left for you to have fun visiting, hanging out, etc with other humans without feeling like you live in a ghost town...

I recently revisited ACGC, and it made me do a real hard think on New Horizons

I got bit by an Animal Crossing-flavored nostalgia bug last week. I'm currently revisiting some of the early games - DnM e+ and ACPG for the Gamecube, specifically. I usually return to the latter every few years (still got my very first town on my very first memory card, still running fine...

    The "You're Banned" Game

Banned for having a food username. This is a forum, not a kitchen.

What was your first experience like when your villager first visited your home?

Dobie skulked in at night dressed in sunglasses and a long coat, lookin' like he desperately needed a quick, quiet ride across the border. I tried to offer him refreshments, but I couldn't. He sat on my bright pink crescent-moon chair and complimented my mermaid vanity before quietly departing...

    ACNH Anti-Features, A Speculative Experience.

As much as I love grooming and bathing IRL, the idea of having to take regular baths and do laundry in a game makes my butt itch. I love it!

    so, judy's at my campsite...

Well, with the series 5 Amiibos having long since been released, the general market value of high-demand villagers has tanked. I have no real need or want for Judy, but I could have her whenever I want because I have her card. You could put her up for sale on Nookazon just to see, but she's not...

    ACNH Anti-Features, A Speculative Experience.

Oh, another thread inspired a new idea: All fruits and crops are now seasonal. Apples grow in the late summer and autumn. Pumpkins are autumn only. Peaches grow in the spring and summer. Tomatoes and cherries are now summer only. Wheat can be planted in the summer, but won't be harvestable...

Which Fruit looks best in Winter?

I'm really partial to apples and oranges. Apples are the most attractive fruit in the game, and I associate oranges with winter. The contrast of the cool, pale snow and desaturated trees makes the bright orange and red pop.

    ACNH Anti-Features, A Speculative Experience.

Ooh, evil. I love it. Annoying as hell, but robust enough to be a feature. I got another one, inspired by previous posts - friendship levels scaling with villager personalities. It would look a little like this: [Basically your friend already] -> [Pretty friendly] -> [frenemy] -> [unfriendly]...

    ACNH Anti-Features, A Speculative Experience.

I must be mad tripping because I do NOT remember that from NL. Would be pretty neat though. Also, tripping due to bad luck giving you a chance of snapping a heel if you're wearing heeled shoes, or the chance to lose a shoe if you're wearing normal ones while swimming in the ocean (the remaining...

You're right. Darn. I guess that would be a pretty neat thing to have, huh?
