That spot only ever shows seasonal items. For winter it is mostly the heater, so there is no glitch when there is nothing else. In summer it mostly shows the surfboard for example. Halloween items and toy items are also avaible there. So no worries, it's fine :)

TIL that hermit crabs wiggle and make a jingly sound if you walk slowly by without jumping out of its shell. This way you can also catch it as a shell if you sneak up on it. Usually, they scare the heck out of me when I run over them and they jump up. :)

I finally got the DIY for the hyacinth lamp! I have been farming that one for weeks now with an Amiibo camper, but today Cherry was building it in her house. :D So happy now, the lamp is so beautiful! ...
