I don't mind them, I think some are kinda cute but I have no desire for one. It doesn't annoy me that they are popular.

I'm washing the floor and my mom is walking all over it with her shoes, the same shoes she wore in the garden 2min ago. She thinks her shoes are not dirty. I don't get her, when we were little, shoes, clothes we wore outside, were not allowed in the house, but that law never applied to her.

I don't think there is another way to get rid of them but you can prevent them to grow back with an invisible design all over the areas you don't want them.
