i time traveled on all six, so far it just seems completely random

i recently forced out several of my villagers with amiibo, and for some reason punchy and kyle both kept the exterior of the house's former owner. ankha, lucky, kabuki, and bella all worked fine but punchy and kyle both skipped the "land plot" day and instead moved directly into the old house...

maybe some kind of avatar creator image?
