Hmmm.. One fact I find interesting is that they used to dig up mummies to make a type of brown paint called Mummy Brown in the 16th - 19th century. And apparently they'd even have parties where they basically unbox a mummy. Weird stuff

The fact that at the end of the Texas Revolution (before it became a state), they won the battle of San Jacinto by sneaking up on the enemy in their sleep. Not so much for the fighting or war aspect, but just the sneaking up aspect I found to be funny.
