[Guide!] Getting Certain Villagers to Move Out

i saw this method in a guide posted on tumblr and i must say it definitely works!! ive moved out a couple of trade villagers this way in just about an hour :0

anyway, paraphrasing the steps are;

1. this definitely requires time travel so if youre not into that then you should probably head out now
2. first of all make a completely new character and introduce yourself to EVERYBODY in town
3. talk to villagers you want to keep twice and only introduce yourself to those you dont- you MUST make sure not to talk to them again, or youll have to make another character
4. pick a villager that you like and want to keep- they will basically become your notifier. if someone is thinking of moving out, theyll tell you. you have to make sure to talk to them around ten or so times a day, though, just in case
5. now begin time traveling forward day by day, only using your new side character. make sure not to use your mayor, as that could screw things up!
6. after a week or so your notifier should let you know that one of the villagers that youve been ignoring is moving out soon. if that is indeed the case, immediately save and switch to your main character
7. when youre done with all of this if you want to head back to the original date you started on just go back in one huge jump. time traveling backwards doesnt effect you or your village like time traveling forward does, so you shouldnt lose any villagers or get bedhead in the process

ive actually managed to move out marina for a trade using this method! my notifier was a smug villager which worked out pretty well in case you guys want to be extra careful?? but yeah, really good method! gets villagers you dont want out quick, thats for sure. let me know how it works for you guys yes

Would it still work if I ignore them on my 2nd character but still talk to them on my main?

Tried this two times yesterday and it didn't work :/
