How to Use the Villager Trading Plaza:

[Looking For] Tag Create a thread using this tag if you are looking for specific villagers to either purchase, or adopt for free.
[Giveaway] Tag: Create a thread using this tag if you have a villager in your town to be adopted for free.
[Selling] Tag: Create a thread using this tag if you have a villager in your town to be purchased using Bells or Items.
[Trading] Tag: Create a thread using this tag if you have a villager in your town to be traded for another villager. Remember, this means trading villagers in your town for things listed in the thread--this is not a tag for you to write a list of everything/everyone you'll give for a desired Villager--that's what the Looking For thread is for.
[Auction] Tag: Create a thread using this tag if you have a villager in your town to be auctioned off for Bells or Items.
[Cycling] Tag: Create a thread using this tag if you have created a village just for cycling out villagers and will constantly be having different villagers put up.

It is recommended you provide as much detail in your thread as possible. If you are holding an auction, be sure to state when the auction ends.

TIP! Clicking a tag while browsing will also let you narrow your search to threads with the same prefix.

Rules:
  • The Bell Tree Rules & Guidelines said:
    Trade Board Bumping
We enforce specific bumping rules for threads inside trade boards to keep them clean and fair. Bumping in this context is posting in a thread when it falls far down the board index to bring it back to the top for increased visibility.

    • You may bump your threads at a maximum limit of once every 4 hours.
    • This applies to the following trade boards:
      • Re-Tail
      • Villager Trading Plaza
      • TBT Marketplace
      • Museum Shop
      • Animal Crossing amiibo Card Post Office (8 hours)
    • In the Animal Crossing amiibo Card Post Office board, the limit is 8 hours instead of 4 hours due to the unique nature of the board.
    • If you continually exceed the bump limit, you may receive a warning, infraction, or suspension. Please report instances where a user is consistently exceeding the limit.
  • Be respectful of other member's dream villagers. Don't trash others for liking villagers you perceive as bad.
  • Don't auction/sell/trade off what you don't have. If someone is camping out in your town, unless you officially have asked them to move in and their house plot is placed, DO NOT auction or sell them. Similarly, if you do not have someone, trying to auction/sell/trade that someone is scamming and will get you banned.
  • Stay on topic. This is a selling forum--not your personal hang out. Do not start turning topics into a chatroom--use them for what you made them for. Consistent chatting can lead to users being warned/banned and threads being locked.

Auctions in Re-Tail, TBT Marketplace, and Villager Trading Plaza
When hosting an auction for your items or moving villagers, you must follow through with the sale unless you explicitly stated that the auction results are subject to be changed. Otherwise, the auction winner may give the host negative feedback for failing to complete the sale. The auction winner may also receive negative feedback if he or she fails to follow through with the purchase. Include as many rules with your auction as you feel fit, such as starting bid price, time limit, and bidding increments.

Auctions
Our auction guidelines apply to auctions of items and villagers in Animal Crossing, as well as auctions in TBT Marketplace. They are designed to keep auctions fair for both buyers and sellers, yet also give auctioneers freedom to create their own rules.

Rules for an auction must be clearly set and followed by both the bidder and auctioneer. As an auctioneer, if you wish to reserve special rights, please specify your reason for doing so in your original post before bidding begins. Otherwise, the auction should follow the default rules listed below.

  • Bidders are subject to accept all rules posted by the auctioneer. If a bidder disagrees with special rights reserved by the auctioneer, he or she should not participate.
  • Auctioneers may only accept bids that are posted in the auction thread. No PM or VM bids may be accepted.
  • Auctions posted on The Bell Tree should not also be made on another site. Not only does this waste the bidders' time, they should not be required to check another site for bidding purposes.
  • Increasing or decreasing auction time is not allowed by default. It is considered a special right and must be reserved in the auctioneer's original post before bidding begins.
  • The last person to bid on an auction within the scope of its rules and time limits is the winner. Auctioneers cannot choose another winner even if someone else makes a better offer after it ends.
  • Auctioneers are expected to see their auctions through to the end. Unless valid reasoning is provided, an auction cannot be canceled. Otherwise, the auction winner may give the host negative feedback for failing to complete the sale.
  • Winners are obligated to complete the purchase after they are determined to be the winner. If he or she backs out of the transaction, the auctioneer may leave negative feedback.

I'm just going to bump this up because it seems people still do not understand why we have a Stickied Looking for thread...

If someone is breaking the rules DO NOT POST IN THEIR THREAD. JUST report it. Posting in their thread bumps it up and encourages them.

Seriously, do not acknowledge their request if they can't be bothered to read and follow the rules.
