3D on the top with the character. What's on bottom?

If I remember correctly from the screen shots, the movement with your character would be on the top, where the 3D is. Coming back to Wild World, where you moved on the bottom and the sky on top, what's in store for us now?

Is it just a top screen game now? Can we get more into the ground now with more fossils and gyroids per day? Can we always have a map,chat, or inventory open? How will we know of sky activity? What do you think?
 
Like ACCF u would most likely press up on the arrow keys and it should aim up twords the sky to shoot stuff down like balloons

Yes but I think hes asking what the bottom screen will be used for...

@topic Probably an inventory/chat/patterns etc spot
 
Maybe your inventory? I think that would be cool, faster, more convenient.
