Do baskets of fruit count as trash?

I know fruit on its own doesn't, but if you had a bunch of fruit baskets on the ground, does that lower citizen satisfaction?

I believe they do. Though I think it takes a certain number of items on the ground before villagers will start to complain and the rating goes down, not sure of the number however.
