Writing letters to villagers

I send letters rarely, the only time I'll send a letter is if a villager gets rid of the stereo they have in their house and they give it to me or sell it in re-tail, then I mail it back saying "hoho why did you do this? Now your house will be empty, take it back"

but one time I was carrying an identified fossil, and Chief came up to me and asked if he could have it, but I said I didn't have one in my pockets. That made me feel bad so I wrote a letter to chief apologizing for lying and I gave him the fossil. Sadly it was the first letter I've ever wrote to him so of course he shows me that one from time to time

If I feel up to it I will write letters if a villager sends me one first.

I also like to write birthday,Christmas and welcome or goodbye letters.

In WW, I'd write to a new villager 14 times, and they'd give me their picture the next time I saw them.

I got Apollo's picture the first time he left the house.
I waited outside and he pinged me.

Now it's just a random, non-special thing.
You can get their picture on April Fools Day, so I don't bother.

I only write them one funny letter each.
Unless I want them to change shirts!
