Friend, there's no problem. That is still grass deterioration even if done intentionally. To quote my last post: nothing is wrong with having dirt paths if that's what you like.They are natural paths!
It took ages to make them.
I wore the grass ONLY where I wanted my paths.
I'm not talking about random grass-wear.
I simply posted my method to get PWP's.
I don't see the problem.

Diving trick doesn't always work. Sometimes they'll ask for requests (to change their catchphrase, greeting or get a bug etc) instead. But yes, no trades will happen if you don't have bells on you or any items they don't want. Flowers, fruit etc. Diving isn't always guaranteed.
