Its been a very long time since i have played new leaf and am wondering if i start a new village will i lose all my friend contacts or will they be able to visit my new village as normal?
im poss looking to start again to remind myself how to play ha ha ha
Your friend contacts are stored in your 3DS friends list so you shouldn't lose them if you start a new ACNL file. They will be able to visit you in your new town as normal. You will lose any 'best friend' contacts you made but that is an in-game feature and can be added again.

You will keep all of your friends on your device as they're added through there, but your "best-friend" contacts in game will no longer be their, they'd have to re-visit and re-best friend you for the in game chatting. Hope this helps!
