No...Main Street villagers are like zombified versions of the villagers that once lived in your town.They remember your name and act like they're familiar with you but that's about it.They are reset to "factory issue" when they start appearing on your Main Street...original clothing and catchphrase but they don't carry anything around in their pockets and have a limited amount of dialogue.
That's right. They will wear their original shirt and catchphrase and won't call you by nicknames anymore. Zombified, lol >v<

my old villagers on main street use their default catchphrase. i only just noticed this about a week ago.
