So I've seen that many people use amiibo cards in the trading plaza, and you apparently get to pick who to move out???

I believe so, seems very useful. Only works with normal villager cards though, you can't get like Tom Nook to live with you

Yep, you can choose who you want to move out. But keep in mind once you've moved an amiibo villager in they're very hard to move out unless you use another amiibo card to get them out
