Amibo reader add on

I have an original 3DS, and I was looking to buy the amibo reader add on, but can?t find it anywhere except random sites that want $50 for it. Anyone know where I could find a solution that?s not going to cost an arm and a leg?

A few quick researches on the Internet told me pretty much told me that the amiibo reader has become very difficult to find in retailers. If you hope for anything cheaper than $50 USD, you might want to consider getting it secondhand. Retro video game stores, mom-and-pop stores, eBay, Amazon and the likes of them are where you should explore. It still ain't going to be a walk in the park, but there's still some hope.
