Main room decoration help

Right now my main room in my mayor's house is decorated like a casino but I'm bored of that. I want something that matches my town theme but I have no ideas xx

My town theme is semi-modern space town. I already have two rooms that have stuff like captain's monitors, crew's monitors, spaceships, etcetc so I don't want to make my main room like that.

Any ideas?

Maybe a spaceport? Like an airport but for spaceships? Have a bunch of chairs and suitcases around, Astro items for a futuristic vibe, Sci-Fi walls, maybe a small snack stand if you can fit it?

Otherwise maybe a tacky space gift shop? Though I feel like that would belong in a room other than the main one, so maybe you could rearrange?

Or you could make a kind of 'fake earth' with the tree standee's and the round electric sign as a fake sun. Make it look like an artificial park! Those are just the ideas that came to me first, if I think of anything else I'll let you know.

Ooh I like all of these ideas (especially the spaceport) thank you! I'll try out some designs in HHD and see what I can come up with using these.

I would definitely either do a space port or perhaps a cockpit for a shuttle!
