im really curious what concerts people have been to. I've been to a lot of underground shows, like really questionable settings I suppose lol. I really wanted to go to the weeknd in Oakland this weekend but I didn't make it lol.
anyways, what about you? what genres? and did you want to go because you were interested, or because a friend asked?

I've only been to 1 concert in my life it was Neil Young when he finally came to my area

I really wanted to see Lady Gaga in Vancouver but I had no way to get there :(

I've wanted to see Lady Gaga since '09, I feel like her shows would be amazing!

I've never really listened to Neil Young in depth. I've had a lot of friends who have seen him but I guess I never just sat down and listened to him, I'm the kind of person who plays a set playlist over and over..

I've probably been to hundreds of metal/punk shows by now

The latest one was on Friday with The Dirty Nil (a really cool local band), Bleached, and Against Me!

Warped Tour 2014
Warped Tour 2015
Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock Tour 2014
The Dead Rabbitts, The Word Alive
Escape the Fate twice
Sick Puppies twice
Eyes Set to Kill twice

Sadly, not a lot of shows come to Hawaii so I haven't really gotten to see anyone in awhile. Luckily ETF was playing and I saw them in April.

I saw the Beastie Boys one time but they didnt play any rap songs, they broke out their instruments and thrashed out some punk rock songs instead

one time i randomly went to Universal Studios and to my surprise saw a James Brown concert there outdoors. He mustve been in his seventies. but without question, the funkiest senior citizen on the planet...

I've only been to EXO's concerts in LA

Not too many, I've been to a lot of festivals and stuff with live music from local people though. Biggest names I've seen are Weird Al, Matchbox 20, and Smashmouth. And Smashmouth was free at my town's fair one year. (It was after their stardom really faded.. XD)

The Weird Al and Matchbox 20 tickets my grandparents won at a casino when there used to be a huge concert venue here. Funny enough the only reason she'd picked those (cause there was more to choose from) was because she'd heard of them. There were some way bigger names but she didn't recognize them. Still glad I got to go though.

Oh also Ziggy Marley, my mom's boyfriend won free tickets on the radio, it was a really nice indoor place but it sure was smokey in there... XD

So I mean, every concert I've been to was free.

I've been to a mixture of darkwave, rock, and pop gigs. All by choice - in fact many of them I went to alone and just made new friends there! I'm usually the one dragging others along rather than being dragged to them haha.

Amanda Palmer
BIGBANG
Blutengel (x2)
Boy George
Busted
Darren Hayes
G-Dragon
Icona Pop
Katy Perry
Massive Ego
Obscure Pleasures

And I'll be seeing Marilyn Manson in December.

Also semi-related I guess: I'm going to a drag show next weekend (Sharon Needles, Alaska, Trixie Mattel, Jinkx Monsoon, Courtney Act, Willam Belli). :D

^That drag show sounds awesome.

Also on topic, been to too many to list them all lel. Can easily say Patti Smith & Her Band was one of the best ever though.

It's been years since i went to a concert (Radiohead in 2001). I live pretty far away from the larger cities so if I wanna go to a concert it would take a lot of planning.

my first concert was in 2008- it was for trapt, papa roach and other bands.
then i went to warped tour in 2008 as well.

I don't go to very many. I went to the Vans Warped Tour in 2008, The Stereos (who no longer exist) in 2010/2011, Hedley in 2014, and Lady Gaga in 2017 (about 2 months ago).

Lady Gaga was my favorite.

I would have loved to see REM.

I'd sell my soul to see Radiohead, one of my faves. I live in a town with a lot of bands coming through--Weezer came recently but unfortunately I didn't get to see them.

I'm not sure if this exactly counts as a concert, but I went to Proms in the Park in London many years back with my family - so good we decided to go again the next year. The beginning of it had a lot of pop music before they brought in the orchestra, so I guess it counts? :p

I would really like for Bo Burnham to come tour around here though, I've been interested in seeing him perform live. Owl City as well.

i went to warped tour a couple years ago and saw sting and peter gabriel with my dad. i'd love to go back but it was soooo hottttt
