I know they're supposed to have some ceremonial headdresses on but, BUT...
They look like they have whipped cream and a cherry on their heads.
It looks like whomever was designing they're headdresses, got it frustrated and erased it and as a joke added a cherry and the image accidentally was sent out before correction.
I know that's not what happened, but that's my amusing story.
And that's all I can see. Ah, my twisted mind.
Does anyone know what the headdresses are supposed to be?

I've never noticed that before as I never really pay attention to song covers but I will from now on.

I always thought the white "headdress" things were a little odd, but I could never tell what they actually were. It doesn't fit in well with the picture's colors at all...
 
I honestly always thought that was just a part of the background, but now that you mention it they do look a little like they have onigiri on their heads, tbh.
