I was a real frady-cat as a kid. I was scared of pretty much everything (and still kind of am a little...)

But notably I can remember I was scared of: a lot of scary scenes in movies, large dogs, the dark, talking to strangers, being abducted by aliens, and so, so much more

how about you guys? What made your mini-self run for cover?

Personally, I got spooked when I got left alone and/or if it was dark. I was also kind of scared of like being abducted (not by aliens eheh) but of strangers etc. I also got very homesick too so blehh ;-;

I was terrified of pelicans ? i don't really know why. Also of the dark and cloudy water where you can't see what's underneath (even in a bathtub...) but i'm still scared of the latter 2 :s

• I wasn't scared of the dark per se, but I was scared of what was in the dark.
• I wasn't scared of spiders either, but I was afraid of being bitten by one.
• I was scared of my Dad.
• My Mom scared me more than my Dad.
• I was and still am terrified of needles. I hate getting shots.
• I was terrified of torture porn.
• I was also scared of the air vent in my old bedroom because every night I'd see a face staring at me.
I was scared of walking my dog at night because I always had a set path and part of it passes the woods. I'd always think wolves would jump out of the forest and kill me.
• I was scared of ghost children. Not ghosts in general, only ghost children.
• I was scared of the monkey exhibit at the zoo because I thought the monkeys would escape and rip off my face.
• Jellyfish...nuff said.
• I was scared of old people because I thought their wrinkles were contagious.
• I was scared of my middle school Principal.
I was also scared to the point of crying everytime I watched Scooby-Doo and the Witches Ghost and Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
• And the last thing I know for sure I was scared of was the noise that the Grudge made in all of the The Grudge movies.

I still have a fear of the dark, but I remember my mom making 'monster spray' (it was just water in a spray bottle) to spray in my room so I can sleep at night. I do still have a lot of my childhood fears...but now I know it's just my anxiety.

I was afraid of so much! Dark, heights, drowning, lots of common fears. Animal Crossing related, since this is an AC forum, I was petrified of Resetti. I was 7 or 8 when I got Wild World I think, and I cried once when my DS died on me while playing. I was so afraid of him!! XD

lol I remember being scared of resettii too! I was terrified one day I'd reset too many times and he'd erase my town! Also I was just terrified of losing my town or my file corrupting in general

I used to be scared of sleeping in the dark. Then I realized that light isn't going to stop anything...

The only things I remember being afraid of are the THX intro in movies, needles, and fast-moving amusement rides. I'm obviously not really afraid of the THX thing anymore, but I'm still pretty scared of needles and I get really bad motion sickness from riding fast-moving rides sooo

Owls

I visioned them to be these pterodactyl sized birds. Largely because I opted out not to watch Jurassic Park w/ my family and then heard some owls. My dad got lots of sleepless nights for asking him to stay near me when I heard one hooting.

Wind really scared me, especially when it made the howly noise.

Geese. I used to live in an apartment by a pond and my family would feed leftover cereal to the birds. It got really scary when they started to swarm though because they were almost as tall as me.

The main ones for me were
the dark, especially sleeping in the dark
heights/falling
diving boards

The old teabag in the gingerbread man cartoon. Cried whenever she came on and talked about her teabag friends being murded;;
Also the tarantulas in AC. Couldn't play at night incase they would chase me

Everything

-Death
-Throwing up (I still am)
-The dark
-Enemies in video games
-Dogs (I overcame this fear when I was around 8)
-Hospitals
-Math tests (lol)
-The moon from Zelda: Majora's Mask (THAT THING GAVE ME NIGHTMARES)

Also is it weird that I was scared of Animal Crossing at night? I always thought there was something scary hiding in the empty corners of my town at night...

I was afraid of Squidward from Spongebob, any South Park character and Beavis and Butthead. Their designs creepes me out.

I feel at peace when I run around my AC town at night! It's irl where I feel anxious the entire time.

I have severe social anxiety, so I was completely terrified of strangers. The lessons on stranger danger did *not* help.

I was scared of heavy rain/storms and The Grudge. My parents would always threaten me saying the "obake" or what ever is going to get me and the grudge is pretty much exactly what I imagined a Japanese ghost to look like, especially from this and this scene.
