More terrorism :( do they know who did it?

Not sure if anything has been said about the person who did it yet, other than he was 48 year-old and that it was a targeted attack on Muslim people leaving night prayers at a Mosque.
(Source: here)

It's honestly so heartbreaking to wake up to horrible news like this pretty much every day now in my country.
:(

I actually assumed it was an Islamic State attack. It is an islamaphobic attack, all I've heard is that it was a white male.

Islamaphobia has been on the rise within the past ten years, especially within the last few weeks. It's just terrible. Terrorism should not divide us.

Muslims and ISIS are two completely separate things ... one is radicalised, the other are semi-peaceful people (unless they follow the Quran, which describes incredibly explicit rules to abide by in the Muslim religion).

Unfortunately there are people who really don't understand that distinction. Lots of people on my facebook feed are saying things like "see how it feels" and "what goes around comes around" :(

I don't really go on Facebook anymore but I have been seeing posts on websites like Tumblr saying that all Muslims should be deported.

VIOLENCE DOES NOT SOLVE VIOLENCE.

This is so horrible, especially for London :( my thoughts and prayers have been with them.

I just wish people wouldn't feel the need to carry out these attacks on innocent people, especially people who were praying for the victims in the tower fire that occurred on June 14.

According to this article says that 1 person is dead and 10 people are hurt from this attack.

There's so much hatred in the world. The person who did this is no better than the ones who carry out attacks on behalf of daesh/ISIS.

I'm horrified by how many people are condoning this attack on social media because it was on muslims. :(

I agree with you. The world is so horribly racist. Any attack by a white person is automatically justified but if they are of colour, it's automatically a terrorist attack. It's simply messed up.

A lot of people's logic is that, because the government isn't doing anything to prevent these attacks, they have to take it upon themselves to get rid of "terrorists". Little do they know, they're actually just killing innocent people. ISIS would want that, because ISIS do not like "fake Muslims" who are nice to the English. They want English people dead, and anyone who stands in the way of that is, in their eyes, just as deserving of death as a white, non-Muslim person.

While I don't condone this attack in any way, I have to point blame at the government. The authorities were nowhere to be seen after Grenfell. It was the general public (including Muslims, I should add) who had to go out to give people shelter, food, clothes, etc. It's not a really big surprise to me that people are upset, and I always thought it was only a matter of time before some fool had enough and tried to take matters into their own hands.

My so-called Prime Minister needs to take control. Instead of just saying "my thoughts are with the families and friends", she needs to actually do something about it. We sit here and, almost on a weekly basis now, we see innocent lives taken away. When is somebody going to actually do something about it instead of being sympathetic?

this is truly terrible. it's literally been one thing after another. i live in london, and i've never felt more unsafe until now. i heard that apparently someone from a nearby mosque flagged down the police so they could take in the suspect, because people were starting to get violent towards them. which i mean, imo is good on him for doing that since fighting violence with violence is not the answer.

it makes me ill to think that people really think killing innocent people is doing the country justice. but it's what Islamic State want. by taking the matters into our own hands in the name of 'vigilante justice', we are doing exactly what terrorists want us to do. killing innocent muslims does not make you a hero or at all better than ISIS. you will become their scapegoat.

United we stand, divided we fall.

don't let terrorism divide us. the second we do, the second terror wins.

A man collapsed outside the mosque, who is believed to be the man who died. Whether it was the van that killed him or underlying medical issues, I either see the man who did it getting at least ten years for attempted murder or pleading insanity and going free in a couple of years.

Either way, this should be treated as a terrorist attack because it simply is. It was against an ethnic group/religion and politically charged. Nothing makes him different to the extremist scum that are attacking us for our religion.

Theresa May wants to regulate and control the Internet. She wants to do something like China's internet.

Oh, I nearly forgot about that.

She will be in the record books for being the only person who could beat ISIS. How did she do it?

Oh. Well, she banned porn. Stopped everyone right in their tracks.
