amiibo card move ins

So Henry moved out of my main town and i havent been on it since.

my question is, with the new update, do i have to scan him in myself through an amiibo card to avoid cycling (lol i accidentally typed crying where is the lie tho)

if someone else scans him in for me and i get him from their town would i have to cycle??

If you scan the Villager by yourself, no, you don't have to cycle cause Villagers bypass the 16 Villager Cycle.

If someone else scan the villager for you that's not going to work, you need to cycle first.
Weird but is how it work.
