If computer gaming was more supported for it, I would probably have a Mac. I used to love Windows until 8 came around. Being the one with more tech experience in my house, I have always had to fix one thing or another that Windows Updates have broken on my mom's computer. At this point, I am almost considering building a Hackintosh or downgrading to 7...

The good thing is, Macs can run Windows through Boot Camp and also virtualization software.

For those of you that use Linux, what version(s) do you use/recommend?

I've only used Ubuntu so I'm not a good source. However, I do think it's good, along with other distributions, such as Debian and RedHat.

Windows! Though, would prefer to have Windows 8 over Windows 10 :' )

Mac setups are a bit not so user-friendly, or at least for me. I have had too many of the university computers be frozen on the one grey screen and nearly have lost important work... A lot of the Mac computers refuse to even start up in most of the computer labs, too, which can be frustrating. There are also times where you get the one wheel that just spins for so long and it freezes. Not sure if it's just university Macs, but they sure seem to freeze and break down often.

I'm surprised you say that. My MacBook Air never gave me problems after I started using it in 2014.

Windows, simply because I've used it my whole life, at one of my schools one of the classes used Mac and it confused me to no end. Thankfully I didn't stay at that school too long.

windows, macs are prettier but none of the apps i used in the past were ever compatible w/ them. also windows seems to be more functional

Never used Linux.
Mac is okay.
I will always prefer Windows (especially Windows 7/8) though.

i suppose windows. its really been getting on my nerves lately but I never used Linux and Mac is real nice but limited in comparison to windows.
